Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber attacks.
The scheme defines a set of controls which, when properly implemented, will provide organisations with basic protection from the most prevalent forms of threats coming from the Internet. In particular, it focuses on threats which require low levels of attacker skill, and which are widely available online.
Those bidding for certain government contracts are required to be Cyber Essentials certified due to the sensitivity of the data being exchanged. More and more organisations are requesting that their suppliers also conform to more stringent cyber security measures before they will conduct business with them.
Being Cyber Essentials certified provides your business with better protection against digital threats and a competitive advantage over others in your sector.
